Who We Are We are simply a local body of Christ, that strives to follow and pratice only New Testament Christianity. We try our very best to speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where it is silent. We are not a denomination. We follow no creed or doctrine of man, we follow only the Bible. We wear only the name of Christ. We preach the truth in love and we pray that you are edified by our website and by our congergation. We pray that you will worship with us if you live in the Harpersville, Vincent, Wilsonville, Chelsea, Westover, or any of the surronding areas in and outside of Shelby County Alabama. We have many visitors who pass through. We would be honored if you worshiped with us and we pray if there is any way we could be of assistance spirtually that you contact us. What must I do to be saved? The Way to be saved is, through, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Acts 16:31-34; Romans 3:24-26). His death on the cross was to pay the price for your sins before God. . Having been buried, God raised Him back to life and seated Him at His own right hand to rule over heaven and earth, all according to the Scriptures (I Corinthians 15:1-11; Acts 2:22-36). Only in Jesus' Name is access now granted us to God. To get into Jesus Christ you must believe with all of your heart that He is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:13-21; 8:23, 24). You must repent of all your sins (Luke 13:1-9). You must continually be ready and willing to confess your faith in Jesus before all (Romans 10:6-13). And then you must be baptized (immersed) in water in Jesus' Name to get your sins forgiven (I Peter 3:18-22). This baptism is not to join any denomination but to complete your obedience to the gospel (Good News of Jesus) so you can be born again--saved (John 3:1-5). Baptism is to take place when you say so, when you are ready to make that Good Confession of Jesus' Name. Then it is simply a matter of staying faithful to God for the rest of your days (II Peter 1:2-11; Acts 2:37-46; Luke 14:25-35).

Our Assembly and Worship SingingWe sing only because thats the way the New Testament Christians worshipped. This excludes mechanical instruments, solos, duets or any other group that sings seperate from the entire assembly (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16) Reading God's WordGod's word is living, powerful and guides us into all truths. It is simple enough for anyone to understand but powerful enough to set us free from sin and grantus eternal life We read from Gods word, study Gods word, and let it direct our steps in all we do. ( ITim 2:4; Eph 3:4; John 8:32) Lord's SupperWe partake of the Lord's supper each first day of the week (Acts 20:7). The supper consists of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine as memorials of the body and blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:20-26). SermonsOur Sermons and Lessons are from God's Word. We strive to teach only the truth and do so in a uplifting way. We pray that our lesons can help all those that hear to serve God greater, and to convict hearts to obey the Gospel as soon as possible, and finally to go and teach others the truth. (2 Tim 4:1-5; John 8:32; Acts 24:24-25). PrayerThe congregation is led in prayer. This is a privilege God has given to His children and we realize that through Jesus' name God hears the prayer of the faithful and that prayer to Him will help us in our time of need and give us peace that passes all underatanding. (Heb 4: 14-16, Phil 4: 8-10) GivingWe take up a collection on the first day of the week as God has given us authority to do. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). We do not solicit gifts from those who are not members. Contributions are used for the spiritual growth of this church and for the support of men who are preaching the gospel in other areas. We do not use money collected here for social programs or the support of any human institution. We believe the church can do all of the work God has given it to do: teach the gospel, build up the members, and help needy Christians. All other "good works" are the responsibility of individual Christians (Titus 2:11-14; James 1:27; Galatians 6:9-10).
